Stevan Morris
HAMSA HANDPANS | Stevan was born and raised in San Diego, CA, where he developed a passion for music at a young age. He had a knack for learning new instruments, picking up piano, trombone, bassoon, drums, bass, marimba, and more. He had many early musical opportunities while attending Mount Carmel High School, including marching in the Rose Parade, and performing at the National Concert Band Festival.
In 2008 after graduating, he went to the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in Long Beach, CA, studying percussion performance. While in college, Stevan deepened his love for melodic percussion, specializing in marimba and steel pan. It was here that he first heard of and met the local steel pan builder, Dave Beery, owner of Dave’s Island Instruments, and his future boss and mentor.
In 2013, Stevan began working for Dave, and it was here he was first introduced to the handpan. Dave had just started producing his own line of handpans, and Stevan was instantly hooked! In no time, he was completely engrossed in all things handpan. He spent the next 2 years learning to build and tune handpans from Dave, while also traveling throughout the US and Europe performing extensively.
In the summer of 2015, Stevan started his company Hamsa Handpans, wanting to add more of these beautiful life changing vessels to the world. He has an unending passion towards these instruments, and has dedicated his life to furthering the art form as both an up and coming performer and builder of handpans.

Patrick Verschoor
ELYSIAN INSTRUMENTS | Patrick Verschoor is a handpan maker based in Bellingham, WA. He founded his company, Elysian Instruments in late 2019. A lifelong musician, Patrick became completely enamored by the sound of handpans from the moment he first heard one while backpacking through Peru. The sound of these instruments grounded and instilled in him a deep sense of peace.
He decided to begin making these instruments to spread the joy and build community. He dug up what he could find on the internet and honed his craft after 2 years of trial and error. His mission is to move people through music in the same way that he was moved by music.”

TOM STEWART | Tom founded Stellar in 1995 when by a wonderful series of events he was introduced to the Native American Flute. The experience of making flutes, honing techniques, and creatively adding to the flute- making technology has been an engaging, arduous, and fulfilling task. It has come closer than anything ever has to tapping Tom's talents and energies to their fullest. His focus is true and he loves his work.
LILY WILCOX | Lily is " Stellar, the next generation." She can take a flute blank and turn it into a beautifully tuned and finished flute. She runs every aspect of the business from wood working to office management and is the star of all of our flute playing video tutorials.
